Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Warehouse Selector to pick orders for delivery to local foodservice venues. This is a physically demanding role focused on accuracy and efficiency.

You will operate electric pallet jacks or forklifts, palletize product, and work in temperature-controlled areas ranging from coolers to freezers. Expect 10–12 hour shifts and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Active, physical role requiring lifting and operating equipment.
• Must be able to lift 10–75 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs.
• Work in temperatures varying from coolers to freezers.
• Shifts can be 10–12 hours daily.
• Experience with palletizing orders is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY

Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

• Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift


• Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders


• Other duties as assigned.

Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• 0 – 1 Year relevant work experience.


• Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.


• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.


• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.


• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).


• Work on your feet for 10 – 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.


• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.


• 1 year Selection Experience.


• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
