Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Warehouse Selector to pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues. The role involves operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, organizing and palletizing products, and supporting other duties as needed.

Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced warehouse, able to lift 10–75 lbs repeatedly, and work in temperature-controlled areas including coolers and freezers. This entry-level position requires 0–1 year of experience and a solid work history.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 0 – 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Frequent lifting 10–75 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler/freeze) and stand 10–12 hours daily.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating equipment (pallet jack or forklift).

JOB SUMMARY

Work in a Sysco warehouse and be a critical member of the foodservice supply chain. Warehouse Selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

• Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift
• Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders
• Other duties as assigned.

Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 0 – 1 Year relevant work experience.
• Frequently lift product that weighs 10lb - 75lbs and up to 100lbs.
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches.
• Constantly bend and twist while operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, retrieving products from lower shelf areas.
• Work in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Work on your feet for 10 – 12 hours daily.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• 1 year Selection Experience.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
