Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load outbound orders into designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards. This role ensures drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day’s deliveries.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 6:30 PM start until work finished. The role offers $23.69 per hour with weekly pay and benefits starting day one. Join the US Foods team to support our ongoing commitment to food service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Must be pallet jack certified and able to operate pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling loads.
  • Ability to read load diagrams and interpret weight distributions.

Responsibilities

  • Load outbound orders into designated tractor trailers according to the load diagram and company procedures.
  • Ensure pallets are built per stops and securely wrapped to prevent damage during transport.
  • Verify header labels on pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.
  • Load trailer correctly with bulkheads in place and ensure the load diagram is completed and submitted.
  • Follow safety practices and keep the dock area clean and orderly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct trailer inspection before loading to insure trailer is clean, has the proper temperature and is ready for loading.

Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.

Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.

Load trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured. Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted.

Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Selectors, Leads/Supervisors, and Drivers

External:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Related Experience: A minimum of one year warehouse experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be pallet jack certified; Good attention to detail; Ability to read load diagrams; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature indoor/outdoor environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law . The expected base rate for this role is at $23.69/hour. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
