Pine Street Inn Inc. in Boston is seeking an Outreach Van Counselor to join a three-person mobile street outreach team.

You will provide crisis intervention and essential services (food and blankets) to the unsheltered homeless population in the city. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience, and strong writing, reading, communication, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Mass Driver’s License with a minimum of two years of driving experience and an excellent driving record.
• Strong writing, reading, communication and computer skills.
• Prior training/knowledge of crisis intervention.
• Preferred: experience with mental illness, training in substance abuse, HIV or AIDS, and a human services background.
