Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Unit Assistant to support the patient care team during the night shift. Under supervision of the registered nurse, you will perform vital sign collection, finger sticks, and assist patients with hygiene and dressing, while greeting visitors.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS on hire, and 1-2 years hospital experience. General clerical and medical records duties are included.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and perform finger sticks.
• Assist patients with hygienic and clothing needs.
• Greet and assist visitors; support nurses as directed.
• Night shift, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM; some weekends/holidays.
