Job summary

Intermountain Health's Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound exams under physician direction, ensuring accurate imaging and patient comfort. The role emphasizes ARDMS/registries, infection control, and patient education in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position is full-time, 36 hours weekly, night shifts Thursday–Saturday, and requires ARDMS certification plus BCLS.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registry beyond physics as required for the department.
• BCLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Preferred: 1+ year of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARDMS and modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns while maintaining safety and infection control.
