Job summary

UofL Health University Hospital - UMC in Louisville, KY, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform examinations following established protocols, with focus on accuracy and patient care. Requirements include ARDMS or within 1 year of hire, a graduate from an accredited US program, and BLS.

The role supports the radiology team, educates patients, and maintains equipment. Candidates should have 3 years ultrasound experience preferred and be able to work third shift; they will collaborate

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from accredited US program (required).
• Experience: 3 years prior ultrasound experience (preferred).
• Licensure: ARDMS or within 1 year of hire date (required).
• Licensure: One specialty area (e.g. abdomen, vascular, OBGYN) (required).
• Certification: BLS for Healthcare Providers (required).

Responsibilities

• Performs examinations according to established protocols with accuracy.
• Generates scans and evaluates image quality for diagnostic use.
• Instructs Radiology Residents and students on scanning protocols.
• Communicates findings with Radiologist and maintains records.
• Maintains equipment and supports quality improvement initiatives.
• Assists in training new personnel and complies with HIPAA.
