Job summary

Opus Inspection, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on emission testing equipment, manage parts inventory, and document all service activity in a fast-paced shop.

You will support station management, participate in training for equipment including computers, peripherals, printers, dynamometers, RPM units and OBD devices, and assist with on-site issues during off-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a current, active, and unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanics is preferred – but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to Emission Testing Equipment.
• Participate in company-provided training for the following equipment: Computers, Peripherals, Printers, Dynamometers, RPM Units, OBD Units.
• Perform parts inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Complete necessary paperwork and record all maintenance and repair activity.
• Provide station management with phone consultation regarding immediate equipment issues when not yet on-site.
• Other duties as assigned by management team.

Job Purpose

The Equipment Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs on emission testing equipment, manages parts inventory, and ensures accurate documentation. This role provides essential support to station management and requires a proactive approach to operational excellence under the direction of the Systems Support Manager.

This is a full-time position; standard hours are 40 hours weekly.

• Nighttime Technician Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Physical & Environmental Conditions

• Work is performed in an area with a high noise level.
• Exposure to exhaust fumes and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to perform lifting of 75 lbs. from ground to chest level.
• Frequent walking, bending, and stooping.

The compensation for this role is $21.50/hr
