Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Part-time Telemetry Monitor Technician in Madison to support the Monitoring Center. The role involves continuous cardiac rhythm observation, recording rhythm strips, and ensuring alarms and patient data are accurately tracked through each shift.

Educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent (or 10 years of experience). Prior telemetry experience is not required. Night shift coverage supports patient safety and quality care around the clock.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to monitor patient rhythms and respond to changes.
• Maintain accurate rhythm strips and telemetry logs.
• Ensure alarms are set and working correctly per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Run strip at admission, every 4 hours, and with rhythm change.
• Measure PR, QRS, and QT and interpret rhythm accurately.
• Sign strips with initials, last name and position.
• Post strips on telemetry log and notify staff of changes.
• Maintain telemetry logs and current patient information per shift.
• Remain alert and safe while performing duties.
