Qualifications

• Basic arrhythmia coursework and rhythm interpretation test with 85%+ score.
• Epic course for order entry within 30 days of employment.
• Hands-on orientation with a preceptor.
• Orientation with nursing assistant role before start.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Within 90 days of hire: AACN EKG certification or hospital training program.
• Experience with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor central arrhythmia station, interpret slips, notify supervisor.
• Assist Unit Secretary with order entry and monitor codes and fire panel.
• Support nursing staff and provide information to patients and families.
