Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Night Shift RN for a Telemetry unit in Kansas, requiring current cardiac telemetry experience and an active KS license or compact license. BLS is required. New grads are not considered; 1 year telemetry experience preferred with TR Bands proficiency and familiarity with cardiac drips.

Expect 12-hour nights, 3 shifts weekly, with every-other-weekend coverage. Floating to other acute care units, no on-call, nicotine-free facility, Epic onboarding provided.

Qualifications

• Active KS or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year recent Telemetry experience required.
• Experience with TR Bands immediately post-procedure required.
• Experience with cardiac drips such as Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem required.
• Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process required.
• 2-5 years of Telemetry experience preferred.
• New graduates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry Unit (Cardiac 4N) of a hospital setting.
• 12-hour night shifts from 19:00-07:30, 3 shifts per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required to all acute care units.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide telemetry nursing care within a cardiac unit.
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of the 3 major holiday groups: Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year''s Eve/Day.
• Facility is nicotine-free.
• Orientation includes onsite and virtual Epic training during the first week.
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
