Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, seeks a dedicated RN for the 6C Telemetry unit. The role supports medical telemetry, general medicine, and stepdown patients with an emphasis on patient education and safe transitions from hospital to home.

The position is full-time with steady nights (7pm to 7am), rotations with weekends/holidays, and union coverage. PA licensure or eNLC is required, plus background checks and CPR.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of one year RN experience.
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances are required.
• Must meet required hospital employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Perform clinical assessment and care planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for admission to discharge.
• Educate patients and families on medications and post discharge care.
