Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a PCU Float RN with charge nurse experience for a night shift in Washington. WA or compact RN licensure and Epic EMR proficiency are required. The role involves float coverage across PCU/Step-down units and potential charge RN duties on smaller units.

Night hours are 19:00–07:30, with travel to sister facilities as needed. Benefits include housing support, weekly pay, and paid CEUs.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required and in hand at submission.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
• Previous charge nurse experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience practicing in the US required; Canadian experience alone does not qualify.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, and MS/Tele settings preferred.
• Skills in respiratory management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring preferred.
• Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Float RN role covering PCU/Step down and various units as census dictates.
• Patient population may include ER boarded patients, telemetry, and med-surg cases.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30.
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units with staff managed by LPNs and CNAs.
• Uses Epic charting system; float between sister facilities as needed.
• Provide direct patient care and act as the sole charge RN on select units.
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays and adhere to RTO rules.
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate; 50-mile radius for local rate purposes.
