Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Telemetry on the part-time night shift at Jefferson Torresdale in Northeast Philadelphia. You will work under the supervision of licensed clinicians, performing designated direct and indirect patient care activities and supporting telehealth encounters with patients and providers.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to function in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care in a clinical setting.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within the scope of role.
• Ability to convey respect and collaborate with patients, families and care partners.
• Understanding of communication concepts and clinical environment risks.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment and assists with supplies and equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to call lights promptly.
• May assist with telehealth encounters using Epic, Vidyo, and peripheral devices.
