Job summary

Qualifications

• History taking and physical assessment are required.
• Documentation of competency in specialty procedures.
• Ability to interpret nursing research utilization.
• Manage and coordinate a patient caseload.
• Work within a Collaborative Practice Agreement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status of patients/families via history and exam.
• Initiate and order therapies, diagnostics, and lab tests; prescribe regimens.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease management.
• Document findings and plan of care in the medical record.
• Consult with physician according to standards and protocols.
• Maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
• Develop and update care plans with collaborating physician.
• Collaborate in team meetings to optimize care delivery.
