Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Monitor Technician to observe multiple monitors in the central monitoring station and promptly report abnormalities. The role includes performing ECG tests as assigned and supporting telemetry operations across shifts.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma with cardiac rhythm training or related programs, plus at least one year of telemetry or EKG experience.

Qualifications

• HSD or equivalent with cardiac rhythm training; EMT/Paramedic/LPN or related program.
• At least 1 year of EKG experience with arrhythmia recognition or telemetry.
• Preferred experience with EKGs and arrhythmia identification.
• BLS Certification.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
• Physical requirements: vision/hearing/mobility; CPR if required.

Responsibilities

• Observe all monitors in the central monitoring station and report abnormalities.
• Perform ECG tests on patients as assigned.
