The Monitor Technician at Medical University of South Carolina observes and analyzes patient heart monitors, detects arrhythmias, and reports abnormalities to the care team.

Under RN supervision, the role supports a patient-centered approach and requires a high school diploma or GED, with EKG training and BLS certification within the first weeks.

This is a night-shift, full-time position, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Formación

• EKG training/competency within 3 attempts in 3 months to remain in position.

Responsabilidades

• Observe and examine heart monitors for abnormalities.
• Report on irregular heartbeats or arrhythmias to nursing staff.
• Assist with patient-centered care under RN supervision.
