Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will support licensed nurses, administer ADLs, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe patient environment in an acute care setting.

The role requires a CNA license, high school diploma or GED, and offers night hours with a 24-hour weekly schedule, a holiday rotation, and every-other-weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists nurse with patient and family education. Documents all patient care activities with correct medical terminology. Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.
