Job summary

The Night Stocker at Crossings Convenience Store in Oakhurst, CA is responsible for receiving, stocking, organizing, and replenishing merchandise during overnight operations. S/he ensures shelves, coolers, freezers, and displays are stocked, inventory rotated, and the store is clean and ready for morning customers.

The role works independently overnight, supports inventory management and general store operations, and follows safety and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of retail, stocking, warehouse, grocery, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Basic math and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and organize deliveries.
• Stock shelves, coolers, freezers, and displays with merchandise.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO practices.
• Face merchandise and maintain organized, attractive displays.
• Maintain clean, orderly stockrooms and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment safely.
• Perform general cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or damaged merchandise.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist customers with locating merchandise when needed.
• Support cashiering or other store operations as business needs require.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and punctuality as scheduled.
• Work in refrigerated environments, including exposure to cold temperatures (≈40°F).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
