Job summary

Cosentino's Food Stores in Gardner, KS is seeking an Overnight Stocker to assist customers by stocking shelves and displays efficiently and politely. The role reports to the Night Manager and follows Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.

Key duties include unloading shipments, stocking areas, managing back room cleanliness, inventory counts, and ensuring products meet rotation and expiration standards. This position requires basic math/reading and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills required.

Responsibilities

• Know and implement the Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Unload shipments and stock items in designated areas without damaging merchandise.
• Keep back room and cooler/freezer areas neat and ready for deliveries.
• Stock grocery shelves by matching item UPCs to shelf tags and face front.
• Support inventory by counting and recording merchandise.
• Monitor for damaged, unsaleable, or returnable products and handle damage claims.
• Operate, clean and maintain equipment safely.
• Meet productivity standards for team and individual results.
• Monitor expiration dates and rotate items.
• Keep work area and department clean and safe for customers and coworkers.
• Follow health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal interactions with customers and peers.
• Demonstrate basic math and reading skills.
