Job Summary

Our Overnight Stock Clerks work behind the scenes to keep our store shelves fully stocked and organized for the next day’s guests. You will work overnight shifts when the store is closed to customers, allowing you to concentrate on your tasks in a calm, structured setting. If you are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoy working independently, this position offers an opportunity to join a supportive team and play a critical role in the smooth operation of our store.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in Grocery or a related industry
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, block, and maintain products on shelves; knowledge of code dating is preferred.
• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Follow procedures to meet store out-of-stock percentage goals.
• Assist store leadership with inventory management, accounts receivable, and ordering functions.
• Monitor expiration dates of products.
• Prioritize safety for team members, guests, and products.
• Handle products and equipment properly according to food safety and safety guidelines.
• Set up displays on the sales floor.
• Unload and store food items in prep areas and coolers.
• Unload products from trucks and break down pallets.
• Load flats with products to be taken to the floor and hand-stack them.
• Help maintain back room efficiency by unloading deliveries.
• Receive and process vendor products.
• Ensure vendors deliver products during scheduled times and manage backroom vendor levels.
• Prepare products for stocking by opening cases, pricing, and loading onto flats as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, and floors.
• Keep the backroom and receiving area organized and clutter-free.
• Create cardboard bales using a bailer and paper crusher.
• Show willingness to learn, understand, and communicate, including tasting and experiencing new products.
• Familiarize yourself with store products to assist customers with questions and suggestions.
• Promote an environment of diversity, inclusion, and respect among team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
