Job summary

The Princess Grace Hospital in London is seeking a Night Sterile Services Technician to join the CSSD team. You will be responsible for receiving used devices, sterilising instruments, and ensuring trays are complete and traceable.

This permanent, full-time role involves night shifts and 37.5 hours per week. You will work within a supportive team, adhere to hospital policies, and contribute to high standards of patient care while benefiting from a comprehensive benefits package and career

Qualifications

• Experience in a sterile services department.
• Familiar with hospital policies and procedures.
• Health and safety training including lifting and handling.

Responsibilities

• Receipt of used medical devices in decontamination.
• Inspect, assemble, pack and sterilise instruments per policies.
• Adhere to Quality System and departmental accreditation.
• Repack instrument trays as needed.
• Monitor sterilisation output and complete standard trays.

Contract Type - Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours/week

Monday to Friday 20:30 to 07:30 and Saturday 18:00 to 05:00 (working 5 nights out of 7)

Salary - £28,860 + Night shift enhancement + excellent benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

We have an exciting role for a Night Sterile Services Technician to join our team at The Princess Grace Hospital. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive service of sterile instrument sets and singularly packed instruments for the treatment of patients in theatres and departments located at The Princess Grace Hospital.

What You'll Do

• Receipt of used medical devices in the decontamination area from all users of the service
• Inspect, assemble, pack and sterilise medical devices in line with the hospital policies
• Always adhere to the Quality System in operation which is the base for the Departmental Accreditation
• Repack instrument trays as necessary
• Monitor output to ensure sterilisation is complete and that standard trays are complete with all instruments present

What You'll Bring

• Experience working in a sterile services department
• Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures either within the NHS or private hospital setting
• Health and Safety training including Lifting and Handling training
• A real team player who has excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to recognise and report faults in equipment
