Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care’s Guest Services is seeking a Patient Transporter & Night Shuttle Driver. The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., transporting patients and visitors within UI Health Care using wheelchairs, beds, and carts.

You will also move wheelchairs and drive a Night Shuttle for staff, ensuring safe, courteous service across campus facilities. Under supervision, you will greet guests, coordinate transport, and support hospital staff

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and acknowledges guests per standards.
• Maintains professional attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff.
• Provides inter-clinic and intra-hospital transport.
• Demonstrates superior customer service by anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.
• Assists with transfer and lifting of patients as needed.
• Drives Night Shuttle to designated staff parking lots.
• Ensures patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
• Works well in a team and independently.
