Job summary

Alpha Baking Company, Inc. is seeking a Shipper to prepare items for shipment in a fast-paced facility in Wisconsin. You will move bread/bun stacks, operate an electric pallet jack, and create shipping labels to ensure timely orders.

You will support loading, unloading, and staging, while maintaining accuracy in shortages and damages, and collaborating with the shipping team to meet 24/7 production needs. Physical duties include frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, standing on concrete floors, and

Qualifications

Able to stand and walk on concrete floors and trailer beds.
Frequent pushing/pulling of transport racks and bread trays.
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying.
Frequent to constant handling and grasping of bakery trays and boxes.
Frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
Reliable transportation and attendance for a 24/7 production facility.

Responsibilities

Move bread/bun stacks to shipping dock using two wheel cart to stage product.
Physically break down stacks and shuttle trays to staging area.
Unload semi-trailers, route shipments, record shortages, and rectify damages.
Load cased products onto pallets and operate electric pallet jack.
Apply stretch wrap to palletize products for shipment.
Create shipping labels and handle shipping information.
Work with shipping team to complete orders in a timely manner.
Maintain accuracy in shortages and damaged goods and communicate with leadership.
