Job summary

Simplot Company in Grand Forks, ND is looking for a Wet End Maintenance Mechanic 2 (Crew D) to maintain the mechanical operation of plant equipment across multiple areas including Process, Packaging, and Digester systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, read and interpret drawings, and use hand and power tools, while following food safety and safety procedures in a food processing environment.

Shift: 7pm–7am “Pitman Shift Style”; Wage: $31.83 per hour plus night differential; Location:

Qualifications

Ability to comprehend and retain written procedures.
Knowledge of general and job-specific safety practices.
Ability to work with hazardous and corrosive chemicals.
Ability to read and understand: Mechanical drawings, Isometric drawings, Exploded-view drawings.
Understanding and use of Hand tools & Power tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain mechanical operation of plant equipment in Process, Packaging, Logistics, Raw Receiving, Water Resources and Digester Areas.
Respond to mechanical line calls and complete work orders; plan and schedule additional work as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and ensure spare parts are available.
Keep work area clean, organized and operable; maintain daily logs.
Adhere to safety policies and cooperate with Supervisors and maintenance team.
