Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Welder in West Fargo, ND. You will perform MIG welding on agricultural and transportation products, read blueprints, and set up welding equipment independently. You may learn TIG welding on the job, and you'll work primarily with 1/2" steel or smaller gauge materials in a growing shop.

The role starts with days and training, then moves to a night shift. Expect a contract-to-hire path, safety-focused, with a supportive team and steady workflow.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year MIG welding experience.
• Able to read blueprints and welding drawings.
• Ability to lay out projects from blueprints.
• Set up and adjust welding machine for different metals/thicknesses.
• Experience with 1/2" steel or smaller gauge materials.
• Strong MIG welding skills and weld quality focus.
• Basic familiarity with TIG welding or willingness to learn.
• Use jigs, fixtures, and clamps to position workpieces.
• Solid welding safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on agricultural and transportation products with strong, clean welds.
• Carry out TIG welding tasks as needed, with on-the-job training.
• Read and interpret blueprints/welding drawings for project specs.
• Lay out projects using jigs and fixtures before welding.
• Set up and adjust welding machines based on metal type and thickness.
• Work with 1/2" steel or smaller gauge materials.
• Maintain high-quality work with urgency in a steady shop pace.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean.
• Collaborate with team members and shift leads to meet goals.
• Adapt to night shift after initial days of training.
