Job summary

Reporting to the Waterjet Supervisor and GM, you will perform setup tasks, verify serial numbers, use precision instruments, and maintain documentation while adhering to quality standards. Night shift includes a 10% differential; FAA testing is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (documentation required).
• Must meet ITAR definition of US Person (documentation required).
• Able to write and document information clearly.
• Understanding of the machining process.
• English communication (verbal and written).
• Basic addition/subtraction skills (whole numbers, decimals, fractions).
• Excellent attendance record.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• FAA testing and training mandatory.
• MTI safety-sensitive; FAA drug testing required before placement.
• Experience operating a Waterjet machine.
• Machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Verify hardware handling and storage.
• Verify serial numbers on hardware match travelers.
• Select correct equipment and materials per instructions.
• Secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and hardware on the machine.
• Use precision instruments to verify inspection tools and hardware quality.
• Determine adjustments based on inspection results, tool changes, setup, and hardware placement.
• Remove and replace worn tools.
• Ensure gauges/fixtures are secure and functioning.
• Contribute to cell goals and maintain documentation per procedures.
• Diagnose and communicate machine, hardware, or process issues.
• Monitor abrasive levels as needed.
• Notify personnel if documentation requires modification.
• Complete preventive maintenance on machines/equipment.
• Adhere to quality standards.
