Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Kentucky is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily DC operations, focusing on picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with the customer in focus.

You will unload and handle inbound/outbound goods, secure merchandise for safe movement, contribute to local business plans, document damages, and take on additional tasks as needed. The role is full-time with benefits and a night schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Fluent in English and local language, both written and spoken.
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reach excellence in daily running of picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing with the customer in focus.
• Manage picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment and storing of the goods. Contribute with ideas and inputs to the agreed goals of the action plan in the daily work.
• Effectively unload and handle inbound/outbound goods. Secure merchandise properly to allow for safe movement through the distribution center.
• Contribute to the overall warehouse operations goals setting, drive the implementation of local business plans/projects and analyze existing workload to secure daily volume handling and meet seasonal fluctuation needs.
• Remove and properly document all damages found or caused on inbound/outbound merchandise.
• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects assigned, where applicable.
