US Foods in Norwich, CT is hiring for a loading dock associate to prepare outbound orders for tractor trailers. You will inspect trailers, build and wrap pallets, verify labels, and ensure load diagrams are completed accurately.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, at least one year of warehouse experience, pallet jack certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year warehouse experience preferred.
• Pallet jack certification required.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to read load diagrams.
• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Team oriented and able to get along with others.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct trailer inspection before loading to insure trailer is clean, has the proper temperature and is ready for loading.
• Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.
• Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.
• Load trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured. Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted.
• Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.
