Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions seeks a Warehouse Operator - Picker Shift Head for an SC manufacturing client. You will oversee nightly picking activities, lead a team of warehouse associates, and ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment.

You will monitor performance, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control to optimize workflows. Responsibilities include training staff, identifying improvements, conducting daily shift meetings, and planning workforce

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a continuous warehouse environment.
• Experience with WMS and RF scanning equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and health regulations in manufacturing.
• Strong inventory control, order picking and shipping knowledge.
• Ability to follow standards, policies and work instructions.
• Forklift license or certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and time management; detail oriented.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and varied shifts.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily picking activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse associates.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity and attendance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by following picking procedures and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control and Operations teams.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment and safety.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate priorities.
• Assist workforce planning and scheduling based on demand.
• Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Support investigations related to inventory variances and customer complaints.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
