Job summary

Huhtamaki, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Shipping Associate for the night shift in Ohio. You will handle incoming packaging supplies, move finished goods from production areas to the warehouse, load trailers for shipments, and operate the yard truck; a forklift will be used regularly.

You will log movements with RF scanners and Transition Works, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist with loading and unloading as needed. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift 35 lb are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs regularly and be physically capable of duties.
• Forklift certification required (recert every 3 years).
• Must have legible handwriting and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must learn and retain part numbers and product distinctions.
• Requires ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Overtime may be required to meet customer needs.
• Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.
• Valid driver's license to operate yard truck.

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks in a safe manner.
• Comply with plant safety and food safety programs.
• Perform Production Warehouser responsibilities as needed.
• Load finished goods on trailers for shipment to customers.
• Complete load sheets by scanning trailers loaded.
• Unload packaging supplies from trailers received from vendors.
• Use Transition Works to log products moved via RF scanner and tablet.
• Clean warehouse, trailers, and yard areas.
• Operate yard truck to spot trailers in the shipping yard.
• Rotate into Shipping Warehouser duties as needed.
• Pick and stage orders for shipment to customers.
