Job summary

McCormick is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Kansas City, KS. You will perform unloading, storage, loading and transporting of materials, maintain accurate records, and support delivery commitments at the warehouse with plant support as needed.

Visually inspect materials and equipment, operate the forklift and on-board systems, follow safety and environmental procedures, and participate in inventories and shift handoffs.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team.
• Must be able to secure and maintain forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and good housekeeping programs.
• Operates material handling equipment and transports finished goods.
• Inspects and prepares rail cars and trucks prior to loading.
• Performs operator inspections and completes daily vehicle inspection forms.
• Maintains accurate records and completes load tickets and tallies.
• Supports inventories and bay audits as needed.
• Operates forklifts and related equipment.
• Notifies maintenance of faulty operations or needed repairs.
