Job summary

Sysco in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a warehouse checker to support nightly operations. You will run critical reports, verify orders, reserve loads, and ensure correct palletization and weights. Strong computer skills and basic warehouse experience are preferred.

The role requires standing for long periods and handling pallets up to 75 pounds. You’ll collaborate with team members and follow safety procedures while completing nightly tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1-year warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Run reports necessary for the night’s workload ( Special instructions, Special Orders Item, Handstack Report ).
• Examine all double-check customers and have the loads reserved.
• Inspect loads designated on the special instructions report (spot check pallets on loading dock).
• Verify special order items are on the correct pallet.
• Validate weights on the catch weight variation report.
• Check reshipped orders if necessary.
• Review new accounts being delivered.
• Gather paperwork from the course on the night and place in Manager’s mailbox.
• Fill out checker audit spreadsheet to track night work.
• Research product missing via short chaser (warehouse out).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
