UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital is seeking a Small Animal Patient Care Intermediate and General Ward Technician to support our emergency and critical care teams. The role includes caring for animals, assisting in admissions and discharges, and maintaining a clean, stocked ward environment.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement.
• Experience using and working with cleaning supplies in a professional environment.
• Experience using cleaning equipment and agents.
• Skills to maintain inventory of supplies.
• Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people, to include clients, clinicians, students and staff.

Responsibilities

• 80% - Service Support.
• 20% - Admissions and Discharges.
• Under supervision of the Small Animal Nursing supervisor, clean, disinfect, sanitize and stock assigned areas according to established protocols.
• Monitor and record patient vital functions; maintain supply inventory and equipment; perform feeding, hospitalization and discharge procedures according to protocol.
