Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, has an opening for a Night Shift Vacuum Furnace Operator in San Antonio. You will operate, monitor and maintain vacuum heat-treating furnaces, ensuring production schedules and quality while following ISO procedures.

The ideal candidate will work independently at night, perform routine inspections, document results, and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues, upholding safety standards and quality

Qualifications

• Experience operating vacuum furnaces and interpreting job routers or instructions.
• Familiarity with heat-treatment cycles, safety and quality records.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and independent night shift work.
• Proficient in documenting production and quality data per ISO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum furnaces per routers, instructions and sheets.
• Load/unload materials and parts safely and efficiently.
• Set up run parameters: temperatures, pressures, cycles.
• Monitor furnace performance during cycles and adjust as needed.
• Maintain production, quality and process records per ISO procedures.
• Verify compliance with customer specs and heat-treatment requirements.
• Inspect equipment daily and coordinate with maintenance for issues.
• Perform visual quality checks and ensure safety and 5S standards.
• Coordinate shift handoffs and communicate status to incoming operators.
• Support preventive maintenance and calibration tasks.
