Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time unit clerk to perform clerical and secretarial duties on the nursing unit. You will prepare, compile, and maintain patient and operational records within the EMR system.

The role requires basic computer skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and strong interpersonal communication. Night shifts involve overnight hours with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years secretarial or administrative assistant experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly with staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain clerical information on the unit.
• Respond to queries and route messages regarding patient information and unit operations.
• Assist with coordination of patient flow, unit rounding, and visitor security.
• Maintain patient's electronic medical record and ensure accuracy of charts and records.
