Job summary

Naples Comprehensive Health - NCH is seeking a Unit Secretary to support the Med Surg unit by coordinating physician orders, updating nursing records, and relaying patient needs to staff. The role requires basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook, and excellent phone etiquette with multitasking abilities to manage non-clinical unit tasks effectively.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate physician orders and enter nursing orders into PowerChart.
• Maintain supplies and unit records under the direction of the charge nurse or department manager.
• Assist admissions, discharges and transfers of patients, including hospital transfers.
• Maintain patient records by entering data according to policy and procedures; ensure forms are signed and complete.
• Answer patient call lights promptly and communicate needs to care givers.
