Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to join the team at Tufts Medical Center. The role requires performing ultrasound procedures following safety and radiology standards during the night shift on Fridays and Saturdays (11pm-7:30am).

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in radiology or related field, ARDMS certification, and at least two years of experience, plus BLS. The work involves coordinating with staff and potentially teaching students.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field is required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform ultrasound procedures per policy and radiology standards.
• Verify patient and procedure to be performed.
• Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients.
• Verify imaging protocol, steps and scanner parameters for each patient.
• Ensure patient and staff safety for equipment used.
• Coordinate care with other staff and departments.
• Maintain stock and support education of students/new technologists.
