Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in the Kansas/Missouri area, requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and a KS/MO or compact RN license. The role covers a non-trauma ED that's a Primary Stroke and STEMI Center, with 3x12-hour nights (7 PM–7 AM) and floating between ED Hold, other departments, and facilities as needed.

Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.

Qualifications

• Active KS and MO RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience with a full year of in-specialty experience in the past 12 months.
• No employment gaps greater than 90 days.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult/pediatric ED population.
• Manage dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Administer IV sedation and vasopressors; manage ventilated patients.
• Perform central line care and isolation precautions; triage patients.
• Floating between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed.
