Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Department travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and active RN license, with certifications ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, CPI, and MAB.

Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with 48 hours per week. The ER travel nurse will triage, care for patients, document history, monitor vitals, and collaborate with a diverse care team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• Active RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, CPI, MAB certifications.
• Willing to travel to Wichita, KS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care following physician instructions in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patient vitals.
• Perform IV therapy and wound care as needed.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment; ensure documentation of medical history and allergies.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate authorities.
• Assist with long-term care planning and patient and family education.
