Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment in an acute care setting. The role covers adult and pediatric imaging across multiple departments, including brain, chest, abdomen/pelvis, and special coronary CTA procedures.

Requires ARRT RT(R)(CT), BLS, and 2+ years of CT/X-ray experience; travel-ready candidates living 75+ miles away preferred. GE/CANON equipment experience and PACS use are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Tech or CT Tech required
• ARRT registration - RT(R)(CT) required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with GE CT and Canon/Del Medical X-ray preferred
• Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Preparedness/administration of contrast media
• Venipuncture and IV starts

Responsibilities

• CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Adult and pediatric patient population across acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings
• Performs CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest including cardiac and vascular studies
• Special procedures include coronary CTA
• Utilizes GE CT equipment and PACS system
• Night shift, 5x8 hours, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Rotating schedule of 84 hours per two weeks (one week 3x12, next week 4x12)
• Float required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case by case
• Orientation bi-weekly
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Assignment confirmation within 24 hours of offer
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered; must work major/minor holiday
• Two professional references (Charge or higher, supervisor) within last year
• Travelers who completed one year in system must take min 6-month break before returning
• First-time travelers may be considered
