Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Paramedic for its Transport EMS team at Baptist Health Hardin. The role delivers advanced emergency and non-emergency care during transport, assesses patients, and collaborates with healthcare staff to ensure seamless care.

Shift hours are 6 PM–6 AM, 36 hours per week over three nights. Requires KY Paramedic license, BLS, PALS & ACLS, and a valid driver's license, with strong clinical skills and composure under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS & ACLS certifications issued by AHA or ARC.
• Other Kentucky EMS certifications as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within department protocols and state scope of practice.
• Recognizes and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Completes all required documentation and patient care reports accurately and promptly.
• Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains a safe environment.
• Operates as a Paramedic for ambulance transport within scope of practice.
• Sets priorities for transport of multiple patients and coordinates plan of delivery.
• Ensures resources and readiness of equipment and vehicles.
• Maintains knowledge of fleet vehicles to operate safely.
• Keeps ambulance clean, stocked and ready at start/end of shift and prior to requests for service.
• Ensures ALS gear readiness and proper utilization.
