Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, LaFayette, GA, is hiring a Tool & Die Maker for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain stamping dies and tooling to keep presses running all night. The role requires strong blueprint reading and CNC/EDM capabilities, with experience in wire EDM and CAD/CAM software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years Tool & Die experience.
• Experience with stamping dies (progressive/transfer preferred).
• Strong blueprint reading and die design interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead die troubleshooting and repair during overnight production.
• Maintain, inspect, and rebuild stamping dies and tooling.
• Perform surface grinding, manual machining, CNC work, and EDM operations.
• Fit, adjust, and align die components to tight tolerances.
• Conduct test runs to validate die performance.
• Document all PMs and repair activities.
• Partner with production to keep presses running efficiently.
