Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking a Test Software/Hardware Engineer to develop, modify, and maintain test software and hardware tasks for production manufacturing in Houston. This in-office role supports daytime production testing with a night shift from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The candidate will work with Test Development Engineers to implement test plans and ensure smooth mass production testing. Required are hands-on Python programming, and proven experience troubleshoooting hardware/software in

Qualifications

Manufacturing/Production Testing experience is a must.
Hands-on Python programming experience is a must.
Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in Linux/Unix/Windows environments is a must.
Experience with other industrial test scripting & programming is a plus.
Experience with RESTful web services is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work with Test Development Engineer to develop test scripts, implement test plan, and carry out new production testing for mass production.
Sustain test-related issues for production and work with internal teams and customers for root cause analysis and improvement.
Monitor test failure trends in production and provide corrective actions to improve production test yields.
Set up and maintain production test equipment such as UCS Servers, Terminal Servers, Switches, Power cycle boxes, Hipot machines, etc.
Interface with customers and cross-functional teams to solve testing-related issues.
Propose testing-related improvement projects and execute them for successful outcomes.
