Job summary

Texas Health Kaufman is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the Telemetry Department. This PRN night role involves 12 hours per week, primarily Fridays and Saturdays, with duties across a 23-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.

You will assist patients, document care, and participate in rounds while leveraging the Professional Practice Model to support patients and families. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BCLS and CPI training, and either PCT experience or related EMT/nursing

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of hospital PCT experience preferred.
• PCT Training Program or THR approved program required upon hire.
• EMT or nursing student background acceptable upon hire.
• BCLS certification required before providing independent care; maintained quarterly.
• CPI training required; maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assistance per plan of care.
• Document accurately and timely.
• Anticipate patient/family needs and respond; rounds as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the care team using the Professional Practice Model.
• Maintain and enhance patient care skills.
