Job summary

East West Tea Company is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for the C Shift (graveyard) in Eugene, Oregon. You will monitor high-speed tea packaging lines, ensure product quality, and adhere to GMP and safety guidelines to deliver consistently crafted tea products.

As part of the production team, you will perform routine quality checks, document results, and support line changes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment
• Basic math and computer skills
• Attention to detail and GMP compliance
• Ability to read and follow instructions and maintain safety

Responsibilities

• Runs equipment to meet or exceed standard production rates with minimal packaging material scrap
• Communicates any hazards or unsafe actions to the supervisor, lead, or maintenance immediately
• Replenishes supplies such as overwrap, boxes, cartons, glue, wire, filter paper or labels
• Can understand, interpret, and act on conditions out of tolerance
• Follow company policies and procedures, safety practices and GMPs
• Rotate workstations often for variety and training opportunities
• Stand in for breaks and filling personnel gaps
• Continually inspect tea bags and finished products to ensure product stream stays clean and within spec
• Observe machine operation to detect problems impacting quality and ensure reporting is complete
• Perform quality checks within allotted time frame
• Other duties as assigned by Leads and Supervisors
