Job summary

Scripps Health is hiring a Patient Care Assistant at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. This is a full-time position at 72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks, with a 12-hour NIGHT shift on variable days including holidays and weekends.

The PCA will support patient care under clinical direction, assist with daily living activities, and help with unit logistics to maintain safety and efficiency in a premier healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment.
• Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistics, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
