Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks is seeking a Welder in Thomasville, GA to fabricate, layout, position, align and fit structural metal. You will read blueprints, measure components, and use a cutting torch and arc gouge as needed.

The role requires basic welding skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to pass ASME certification tests. Expect night shift hours and adherence to all safety rules in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical welding training preferred.
• Six months of related welding experience or equivalent training.
• Must be able to pass basic ASME certification tests in due time.
• Ability to read blueprints and process sheets; use measuring devices.
• Must follow all plant safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, layout, position, align and fit structural metal parts.
• Operate cutting torch; perform carbon arc gouging as required.
• Read and interpret drawings; ensure accurate measurements.
• Maintain safety compliance and assist in other duties as directed.
