Job summary

DeSHAZO, LLC in Alabama is seeking a Structural welder/fabricator to layout, fit and weld frames of structural steel. Must read blueprints, have basic math skills and weld using Flux Core and MIG. Knowledge of gases, materials, and alloys.

Responsibilities include checking materials, holding dimensions per blueprints, and using drill press and iron worker. Start pay based on experience with a $3 shift differential and sign-on bonuses for hourly manufacturing personnel.

Qualifications

• Must read engineer drawings.
• MIG/GMAW or FCAW welding experience required.
• Completion of welding course or AWS certification a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and sets up tools and equipment for welding jobs.
• Arranges parts for welding and staging processes.
• Builds welded assemblies per engineering documents and production standards.
• Reports fabrication issues and assists in resolutions.
