Job summary

BD in Connecticut is seeking a night-shift Manufacturing Operator to support the production floor. You will operate and troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure quality products meet specifications. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to GMP processes in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience and be forklift certified. A HS diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass forklift certification.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines to manufacture product matching quality specs at the rated output.
• Repair, adjust and troubleshoot machinery; seek assistance when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products, materials and quality specs.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement activities.
• Meet or exceed annual individual KAS goals.
• Notify Process Engineer and area manager of issues and help develop corrective actions.
• Complete PM tasks and coordinate additional repairs during PM time.
• Keep area neat, comply with GMP requirements; work in a team with limited supervision.
• Support overtime needs to satisfy schedule requirements; ensure smooth shift transfer.
• Familiarize with work instructions and equipment manuals relevant to the department.
